Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church

Our music program at Dinkey satisfies all ages with programs for every age.  The music program is directed by Cathy Smith and overseen by the Worship & Music Committee. 

Musical groups include: The Senior Choir is a group for adults of any age to join.  The choir sings an anthem weekly during worship.  Our chime choir is a group for any age, children and adults are welcome.  Reading music is not required, although helpful.  The chime choir performs on the fourth Sunday of every month.  

Special music programs at Dinkey include the Special Choir and our instrumentalists.  The Special Choir is open to any age and only sings on the first Sunday of the month.  Instrumentalsits perform together on special occasions and the celebrations of Christmas and Easter.  The choir rehearsal schedule is as follows:

• Senior Choir: Every Sunday following Worship at 10:15 am
• Chime Choir: Every Thursday at 6:30 pm
• Special Choir: Every Fourth Sunday following Worship at 10:15 am

Hymns for our worship services are chosen by the Worship & Music Committee.  They meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 3:30 pm.

Dinkey's organ was installed in 1958.  It is a pipe organ built by Fritzsche Organ Builders of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  It is only the second organ of the church building which was built in 1914.  Cathy Smith has been Dinkey's organist since 1988.
