Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church

Ashfield, Pennsylvania

Announcements

Hospital Visitations: If you are admitted to the hospital be sure to inform them that you would like Pastor Pagotto notified.  Dinkey Memorial Church's code number is 370.  By giving the hospital that number they should have all the information on file to contact the church office.

Lay Eucharistic Ministry: Vising homebound members of the congregation and sharing communion with them is an extremely rewarding ministry.  By taking a few hours a month to visit and spend some time with a homebound member of the congregation you are making yourself a conduit for God's love helping keep that person connected with his/her church family.  If you are interested in participating in this task or just want to find our more information, please speak with Pastor Tony.  Perhaps you can even accompany him or one of the other ministers on a visit.

Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday, December 2nd following the 9:00 am worship service.

Poinsettia Orders: Orders are being taken for Christmas Poinsettias for Christmas Eve.  The cost per plant is $8.75.  Please place your orders by Thursday, December 6th and remember to note whether it is "In Memory" or "In Honor" of someone.

Holiday Homecoming Chorus based in Palmerton is planning a Christmas performance with a probable date of December 9th.  Practices will be held on Sundays at First UCC in Palmerton.  Everyone is welcome!  Please contact Darlene Nothstein at dnd2@ptd.net or call/text her at 610-737-1559.  Please include your name, phone number, email address, and voice (soprano, alto, tenor, bass).  She will then contact you with additional information.

Flower & Bulletin Sponsors: You may sign up to sponsor flowers and bulletins for 2018 by either 5signing the charts at the top of the social hall stairs or by calling Marjorie Balliet at 610-377-4740.  Call Margie to sponsor Strength for the Day, Devotion booklets and the Cemetery flag pole.  There are also openings to sponsor a memorial bowl.  It is appreciated if you pay at the end of the month for your sponsorship.

Food Pantry News: The community care program provides emergency food relief for those living in East Penn Township or for any member of Dinkey Memorial Church, low income households who are experiencing food insecurity.  Non-perishable items are needed on a monthly basis.  Donations may be placed in the baskets inside the entrances to the church.   The pantry is running low.

The holidays are fast approaching and the pantry is in need of items for Thanksgiving & Christmas Dinners for our families.  Please drop your donations off in the baskets in the church and Christian Education building.
